Right after campaign closes, document how many books (or whatever) we gotta order. This is separate from address verification and requires no additional user feedback,
Download the KS full backer report CSV, save in richer format. We will chop up this copy, it's dedicated for this role. The goal is to figure out how many books I need to order, so extraneous information like ebook add-ons and how much the backer has paid can and should be deleted. This task is annoying enough without that cruft.
Copy the previous fulfillment spreadsheet. Two halves: the individual books to order for this title, and the backlist bundle section.

Add other columns as needed. You need at least “signed pb,” “signed hb,” “special ed,” “drop pb,” and “drop hb.” Hopefully I'm not dumb enough to add other rows.
Add other rows as needed for items like “add-on extra copies” for dropship and/or signed.
gray out boxes for impossible combinations.
verify second half
double-check that the newest STANDARD EDITIONS are in the second half, for both fiction and tech. Add anything missing, Fill in the formula to capture needs – don't copy and paste or Excel will autoincrement the source cells and mess that up. You can copy the “how many to order” cell, that does need incrementing.
Whack spreadsheet columns and count
Sort by “Reward Title.” Count how many of each reward we got. Fill in the spreadsheet for those numbers.
keep the name, email address, and country for later reference, but chop out money columns.
Look through the Addon columns. If the column refers to a physical thing that I need to buy, keep the column. If it's a digital reward, delete it. If a physical reward had no takers, keep the column for verification.
Sort by each surviving column. See how many of those add-ons we got. The numbers for “all the fiction,” “cross-unix mastery,” “all the tech books,” and “the full michael” go down in the second half.
Per-Country Totals
I need to know how many domestic and international packages I need to ship so I can verify that I have shipping supplies. Make another copy of the spreadsheet, suffixed “country counts.”
Remove all rows for dropships and “no reward.” This should leave you with signed books only.
Sort by shipping country. Count how many are domestic and how many international. Fill in the spreadsheet blank. This won't match the total books bought, because some backers get two copies.
MWL Backlist Inventory
If anyone backed for a backlist bundle, MWL looks at his stock and sees how many of each backlist title he has on hand. Fill in that count.
If MWL's poor planning means he's missing a brag shelf copy, inventory is -1.
Order Books
Only signed books are ordered for delivery to TWP World HQ.
Special editions and backlist bundles are all signed, as are KS rewards labeled “signed.”
